Purpose of Internship

The internship program offers a vehicle of learning on international sports management and development through involvement in our various projects. United World Wrestling Asia is an auxiliary body of International Wrestling Federation (UWW) and operates in 40 Asian countries. Interns enjoy substantial opportunities for active involvement across many levels the Untied World Wrestling Asia operations. 

Scope

The scope of the internship is directly related to the person’s experience and interests. Interns develop personal and professional skills, which are reviewed on a regular basis to facilitate skill- building, and undertake specific projects, including:

• Support in overall programs delivery planned for 2021

• Contributing to UWW Asia knowledge bank through active involvement in data analysis

• Support content creation for enhancement of the UWW Asia website 

• Communication with national and regional sports organizations to support programs implementation and reporting back to UWW Asia on opportunities for collaboration

• Assist with administrative tasks related to the management of the program including travel arrangements, setting up meetings etc.

• Assist with the preparations for UWW Asia General Assembly and Executive Committee meetings.

Other responsibilities

• Support the functions of the UWW Asia in various areas. 

• Help with administration and logistics at various levels.

• Assist with projects as identified by the manager

• Education; language and IT competences

• Bachelor or equivalent qualification in a related subject area (Sports Management, Olympic Studies, etc)

• Advanced knowledge of English; knowledge of the other language is an asset.

• Project management experience.

• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
