UWW Asian Championship Bishkek


Athletes from 20 countries took part in the Championship: Bahrain, China, India, Iran, Iraq, Japan, Jordan, Kazakhstan, DPRK, Korea, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Palestine, Qatar, Thailand, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Taiwan, Uzbekistan, Vietnam.

Within six days, best wrestlers of Asia competed for medals. Greco-Roman wrestlers opened program of Asian Championship, on the first place in the team classification is Kyrgyzstan with 157 points, Kazakhstan takes the second place with 156 points. Uzbekistan takes the third place, scoring 148 points. Also in the top ten included teams from Japan, Iran, China, India, South Korea and Tajikistan.

 After the Greco-Roman wrestling, women came out to the mat. In the team classification, the first girls were from China with a score of 185 points. On the second team from Mongolia and the top three teams of Japan.

Total number of participants together with representatives of teams and coaches was 610. Of these, 580 foreign participants, number of athletes 318.
