United World Wrestling President joined to IOC Executive Board (Pyeongchang, South Korea)

United World Wrestling President Nenad Lalovic has been elected as a member of International Olympic Committee (IOC) Executive Board for a four- year term. Elections took place on February 7 at the 132nd IOC session in Pyeongchang (South Korea) where the winter Olympic Games-2018 will be held from February 9 to February 25. Sixty nine (69) members of the IOC have voted for Nenad Lalovich`s candidacy.

On the Executive Board, N.Lalovic will be a representative of Summer Sports. President has emphasized that it is a great honor for him to advocate the interests of the Olympic movement of Summer Sports.

In the framework of the session, Vice-president of the National Olympic Committee (NOC) of China Mr. Zaioing Yu, was also re-elected to the post of Vice-president of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), Head of the Czech National Olympic Committee, Jiří Kejval, was elected as a member of the IOC.

It should be noted that earlier on August 3, 2015 Nenad Lalovic has been elected as member of the IOC - the first in the history of wrestling.

Asian Continental Council of the United World Wrestling (UWW-Asia Council) warmly congratulates President of the United World Wrestling (UWW) Mr. Nenad Lalovic with the next accession to the Executive Board of the International Olympic Committee. Being President of UWW and a member of the IOC Executive Board, N.Lalovic made his invaluable contribution to the development of wrestling in the world by his conscientious performance of his official duty, erudition and diligence. This designation demonstrates of high professionalism, responsibility of Mr. Lalovic.
